I double checked the recipe and the measurements are correct. I’ve made them multiple times and not had this problem, so I’m not sure why your dough is so dry. If you try again, maybe reduce the flour by 1/2 cup?

These came out very dry for me and it seems like there might be too much flour in the recipe. It got very hard to mix in the final bits of the flour and the end result was not soft or moist at all. I measured the 5 cups out by weight.
