Super Soft Sugar Cookies are the best sugar cookies you've ever had! Made with classic ingredients, this sugar cookie recipe has great flavor and texture too.
Dough: Cream together sugar and butter for 2-3 minutes. Add egg, vanilla extract and sour cream. In separate bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture, beat until smooth.
Place a towel or plastic wrap over the bowl and place in the refrigerator to chill the dough for several hours, at least 2 hours for best results.
Bake: Roll out dough and cut with shaped cutters. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
Frosting: Beat butter until smooth. Then beat in remaining ingredients until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add additional milk a little at a time if thinner consistency is desired. Spread on some frosting, and decorate them however you want. Add some fun sprinkles for a colorful and fun addition! Serve and enjoy!
