Prep: Heat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set them aside.
Dough: In a medium size bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs until fully incorporated. Cake mixes come in varying sizes these days. If your cake mix is less than 15.25 oz, add 1 TBSP flour and proceed with the recipe.
Unwrap the candy nuggets and cut each nugget in half.
Shape the cookie dough into 1″ balls. Flatten the dough and wrap around a half chunk of chocolate, making sure the chocolate is fully encased in the dough.
Place on prepared baking sheet, leaving 2″ space between them.
Bake: Place the cookies in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for 2-3 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
Chocolate drizzle: In a small bowl, microwave 2 TBSP of white chocolate with ½ tsp of shortening for 45 seconds. Let it sit for 1 minute, then gently stir until the chips are melted and smooth. Transfer the melted chocolate to a small baggie and snip the corner off to drizzle over the cookies. Repeat this step with semi-sweet chocolate chips, drizzling it over the white chocolate. Let the chocolate cool and set, serve the cookies and enjoy!
