Orange Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Cookies are a festive twist on a classic favorite. Warm cinnamon pairs beautifully with bright citrus, enhancing the rich, buttery chocolate chip cookie for a perfectly cozy holiday treat.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment and set aside.
Cream butter and both sugars with an electric mixer, in a large bowl. Mix in the eggs, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Stir in 1 ¾ cups of the semi sweet chocolate chips.
Scoop the dough out in 1.5 TBSP portions (medium cookie scoop) onto the prepared cookie sheets. Top them each with a few additional chocolate chips & chocolate chunks.
Bake cookies for 9-11 minutes, allowing them to sit an extra 2-3 minutes on the tray once they come out of the oven. Transfer to a cooling rack. Serve & enjoy!
