Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and both sugars. Then beat in the egg, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients; proceed to gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop the dough by rounded TBSP 2-inches apart onto the prepared baking sheets. Top with additional chocolate chips. Bake for 12-13 minutes. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks. Serve & enjoy!
