In a large bowl, melt the butter and combine it with brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisk to combine. Add the egg and egg white, beating until eggs are just combined. Mix in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, corn starch, cinnamon, sea salt, and baking powder.
Use a spatula to fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, until just combined. Fold in the pecans.
Using a large scoop divide the dough into 2 tablespoon sized balls. Press a pecan half on top of each ball of cookie dough.
Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Let cool, serve, & enjoy!
