Chocolate Orange No Bake Cookies are made with only 5 ingredients in less than 5 minutes. Made with melted chocolate, crushed vanilla wafers and orange juice for a delicious no bake cookie recipe!
We love no bake cookies and have made quite a few no bake cookie recipes over the years. Many no bake cookie recipes have oats or nuts or cereal in them as a main ingredient. The main ingredient in these cookies is crushed vanilla wafers…now why didn’t I think of that before?
I absolutely love chocolate and orange together and have made quite a few chocolate orange treats over the years. I don’t think any of them have been quite as easy as these cookie balls though. I can literally make an entire batch in about 5 minutes – no baking or chilling or any other things you have to wait for!
Ingredients in Chocolate Orange No Bake Cookies
Semi-sweet chocolate chips – You could probably try using milk chocolate instead, but I like semi-sweet in this recipe.
Powdered sugar – Adds a lot of sweetness and gives these cookie balls the perfect texture.
Vanilla wafers – You’ll need to crush up the cookies. I like to crush them in a blender to get fine crumbs because I think it makes the consistency better that way.
Orange juice – Use any variety of orange juice that you like. I prefer pulp-free, but it really won’t matter in the cookies.
Light corn syrup – Just a little bit of corn syrup helps to bind all of the ingredients together and add a little bit more sweetness as well.
How to make Chocolate Orange No Bake Cookies
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir and then microwave for 30 more seconds. Stir until completely melted and smooth.
Stir in the powdered sugar, vanilla wafer crumbs, orange juice and corn syrup. Scoop out with a small cookie scoop and roll into a ball before rolling in powdered sugar. Store the balls in an airtight container at room temperature or you can keep them in the refrigerator if you prefer.
CAN NO BAKE COOKIES BE FROZEN?
Yes, these cookies can absolutely be frozen. It will help them firm up, and in my opinion, taste better! Especially in the summer. Although, mine are always eaten before I even open the freezer!
DO NO BAKE COOKIES NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?
Putting No Bakes in the fridge will help the cookies to hold a firmer shape. They also will last longer if you keep them in the fridge.
However, they technically don’t need to be refrigerated. You can store them in an airtight container in room temperature and they will be fine for up to a week.
